Jade Shaw

It’s hard work finding people as obsessed with netball as we are, but we think we’ve hit the jackpot with Jade, who will be joining the Point 9 team as our first ever intern!

Jade holds a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation degree from Auckland University of Technology, where her main interests were Exercise Science and Coaching. Since finishing her degree in 2017, during which she did a work placement with Netball New Zealand, Jade has undertaken a number of placements within several different sports. These included the 2017/2018 season as an intern analyst with the Warriors, a season doing GPS analysis with the Breakers, and video analysis work on Super Rugby and All Blacks games for Fantasy Rugby. Her first love, however, has always been netball, and she recently travelled with the NZ Secondary Schools netball team as the analyst for their annual trans-Tasman tournament.

We should also mention Jade is a pretty decent netball player herself! She was a member of the Northern Zone Elite Performance Programme in 2017/2018, a 2018 Beko triallist, and a member of the NZU21 Indoor netball squad in 2017.

In her own words, “I love the sport of netball, all forms, and I want to work in it!”
